Gustav, Hanna, Ike, Josephine ...

The hurricanes are relentless and pounding one after another right now. Pounding devastation, pounding homes, pounding hearts in fright, pounding lives, pounding hope. Lives have been lost and even now, great suffering ensues.

Prayers are offered, prayers continue, prayers are powerful. Prayers are hope. Prayers are heard.

I was thinking of these giants, these storms and why.

This came yet again to me...

"Sometimes God calms the storm. Sometimes, God lets the storms rage and calms the frightened child."

Just an idea I remember from long ago that, I wanted to preserve here and share.
